What is LUCIA?

Lucia Kannada Movie is an independent film in Kannada and is capped to be the first crowd sourced Kannada movie ever made. It stars Satish Neenasam and Shruthi Hariharan. Lucia was premièred at the London Indian Film Festival,  along with movies from renowed directors likes of Anurag Kashyap and Amit Kumar, where it won the Best Film Audience Choice award. The songs of the movie are already a roaring hit; songs such as Thinbeda Kami and Helu Shiva are the murmers heard very often amongst the fans.

Directed by the Lifu Ishtene famed Pawan Kumar, and yet to be released Lucia is already a huge in the Social Networking sites. Initially offered to Dhoodh peda Dhiganth the lead role was offered to Satish Neerasam after it was rejected by the former. Defying the traditional film financing mode, Pawan accrued the fund for the movie from 110 investors who contributed through a Facebook page and a blog run by the director.

The much awaited movie of the year is expected to have a wide theater release during first week of September 2013 and an online release soon after theater release.
